AOTS is working dynamically in the arena of Occupational therapy awareness, and have organized many events, and will be organizing various events for the same goal i.e. OT awareness and up-gradation.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY HEALTH CAMP (OTHC)

The OTHC was the very first initiative taken by A.O.T.S. organized at SAMPOORNA (An NGO working for the welfare of Differently abled peoples), Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad on 28th & 29th March 2009.

The two day event was taken hand in hand by local residents and proved to be a huge success.

CONTINUED MEDICAL EDUCATION (CME) Program

A.O.T.S. organized a CME on “Functional Rehabilitation in Stroke” on 12th September 2009, coincidently being A.O.T.S. First Anniversary. The CME was held at G.B. Pant Hospital Auditorium and was inaugurated by Barkha Singh, Chairperson, Delhi Commission for Women.

The CME was addressed by many Distinguished Speakers and in the Feedback Diary the audience regarded the event as “a CME with a Difference”.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY HEALTH MELA- 2010 (OTHM-2010)

Occupational Therapy Health Mela-2010 was a dream event of A.O.T.S. and the dream came true on 16th & 17th January 2010 at National Bal Bhavan.

OTHM-2010 was the first ever Public Health Event organized by A.O.T.S. in collaboration with National Bal Bhavan, Ministry of Human Resource Development, which exclusively gave Occupational Therapy Services and was kept absolutly free for the General Public.
The event was conducted in Media Partnership of " Dainik Jagran" - A Hindi Daily Newspaper and was primarily sponsored by "youthV.com" and "Gyanwave", many other healthcare agencies also sponsored the event.

Including A.O.T.S. Members, more than 125 student volunteers and 50 Professionals from the field of Occupational Therapy took part in the event. Professionals/ Experts in the field, Faculty from reputed Organizations, Differently abled peoples & their Families and other stakeholders attended the event.

In the two days program, more than 800 patients were registered and were given appropriate Occupational Therapy Services and were referred to nearest Government recognized Occupational Therapy Services Provider.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY HEALTH STALL at International Women's Day Program

Delhi Commission of Women (DCW) formerly invited A.O.T.S. to the International Women's Day Program held at Tamil Sangam Grounds, New Delhi on 5th March 2010.
A.O.T.S. accepted the invitation and put up a stall at the event, where 30 A.O.T.S. members conducted the screening procedure of 265 persons who were given and provided with appropriate health advice and future references respectively.
Pamphlets and Handouts describing Occupational Safety Skills considering Women's Problems were distributed at a large scale.
Smt. Sheila Dixit, Cheif Minister of Delhi and Ms. Barkha Singh, Chairperson, Delhi Commission for Women personally visited the stall and appreciated the effort of the Occupational Therapy Students.

SCHOOL AWARENESS PROGRAM

School Awareness Program was an Unique Idea generated a few days before the World Occupational Therapy Day (27th October 2010), and the results were wonderful.
The idea was to spread awareness about the profession of Occupational Therapy and its great benefits for Differently abled populations.
On 27th October 2010 being World Occupational Therapy Day, A.O.T.S. selected 6 Pratibha Vikas Vidhyalayas and targeted pupils of higher standards and gave them a powerpoint presentation on Occupational Therapy, student were also given aa brief on how they can opt Occupational Therapy as a profession.

School Awareness Program in its first phase on 27th October 2010, awared about 2000 students about the Divinity of Occupational Therapy Profession.
